Random Updates

So 2 nights ago Veronica woke up in the middle of the night to ASK to go potty on her toilet!! She started crying in the night and when I went in to get her she pointed to herself and said "pee pee - pee pee!" We ran to the bathroom so she could go sit on her potty. She peed and then stood up and clapped for herslef with a big "YYYAAAAAAaaaaaayyyyy!" - I am so proud of her! I can not believe how well she is doing with the potty training. Then the next day she asked daddy if she could go potty on the big toilet like mama. He held her while she pooped ON THE BIG POTTY!! She still goes in her diaper all the time, but she is really getting good at knowing what the potty is for.

I lost another little bit of weight, so now I have 10.5 lbs to go till pre-prego weight. I am doing better now that the cheesecake is gone. ;)

When I was at Derek's 4 month appt, his Dr suggested that we start pacifying him during the night as apposed to feeding him. She said to use his paci as a "snooze button" for a few times before feeding him. We started doing it and THANK GOD he is pretty much sleeping through the night again. He goes to bed for the night around 10:00 and sleeps straight through to about 7:00. Now if only I could get my body to fall asleep when he does, I might just be a well rested mommy!

We started giving the kids baths together in the big tub. It is so fun! They both love it. Derek has a bath ring seat to keep him sitting until he is stable enough to do it on his own. Of course Veronica wants to sit in it too. Haha. He doesn't even care when she splashes him right in the face. George always gives the bathtub baths and it is so fun to watch the 3 loves of my life playing together & having fun.

Veronica always takes a few minutes to tell Derek she loves him and gives him hugs and kisses. They love each other so much! Veronica tells him "I love too!" all the time without us even telling her to. She just walks right up kisses him and tells him she loves him. In return he gives her HUGE dimply smiles. :) It makes my heart melt and it is seriously one of the sweetest things I have ever witnessed in my life. I am so blessed. I love my family so much!
